What conditions apply for when you are wanting British Citizenship?
- You are aged 18 or over
- You are sound of mind, e.g. You are able to make decisions for yourself
- You are of good character
- You meet the knowledge of English and life in the UK test requirements
- You have been held Settled Status for at least one year if you are an EEA national.
- You must not have spent more than 90 days outside of the UK each past year
- You must not have broken any immigration rules while you have been in the UK

How do I register my Child as a British Citizen?
That they are under 18 at the time of application
That at least one parent has obtained Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK
That the child was born in the UK if applying via section 1(3)
That the child was born abroad if applying through section 3 (2)
You have a long birth certificate for the child

Can I bring my partner and children to the UK?
Many categories of visa under the Immigration Rules allow you to bring certain family members to the UK with you, such as your spouse or civil partner, unmarried or same-sex partner, or children aged under 18 years.
If you have been granted a visa under a category of the Immigration Rules, the rules will say if family members can come with you.

When I am eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK?
UK Settlement eligibility, provided lawful residency in the UK has happened:
Marriage Spouse Dependant = 5 years
Unmarried partners = 5 years
Work Permit = 5 years
Ancestry = 5 years
Investors / Entrepreneur = 5 years
Unlawful Residence = 20 years (private life)
Lawful residence in the UK= 10 years

How can I study in the UK?
You will first need to obtain an offer a place on a course with a licensed Tier 4 sponsor (University). Your sponsor will issue you with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). Once you have been provided with your CAS reference, you will need to apply for a Student Visa.

What is ‘Brexit’?
This is an informal expression meaning ‘British exit from the European Union’. The UK will leave the European Union at 11pm UK time on Friday 29 March, 2019. We would advise all EEA nationals and their family members to take steps to strengthen their UK immigration status before that date, by applying for Residency documents.
